Suite breakfast is in Sabatinis

Thank you. I spoke with 3 separate Princess reps and no one knew.

Deck 6

Hello, after embarking on deck 6, what path did you take to get to the Sanctuary to reserve loungers?  I have read spaces go fast on some cruises. The deckplans look  bit choppy, so I’m  a bit confused.

I'd walk on Fiesta (6) from the Piazza where we boarded the Royal to the forward elevators located by the Princess Theater to take it to Sun (17) where The Sanctuary is located.  My Recent experience on the Royal is that the midship elevators are used to get passengers to their cabins so they're very busy.

Can someone explain what the Princess Live is? I would be interested in any details you folks might have on it.

It is a room equipped like a TV station studio with seating for an audience. The daily Wake Show is often filmed there in the afternoon.  Game shows and trivia are held there also.  I have seen Bingo held there very uncomfortably when the good lounge is wasted by the Park West people and their auction of the so-called Peter Max art.  The Princess Live venue has been very unpopular when compared to the Explorers Lounge that it replaced on the Royal class of ships.

What I did was walk past the Spa entrance to the forward elevators, went straight up to 17 then continued to walk forward to the Retreat. You’ll find the entrance to the Sanctuary on the right - starboard -  side of the Retreat bar. Easy!

That works best if boarding on deck 5 but they asked about on deck 6 which going through Club 6 or the casino doesn’t require dragging a carryon bag on the stairway to deck 5.  For our May cruise on the Royal in LA passengers boarded on deck 7 and could walk to the forward elevators to go to deck 17 & then walk past the Retreat Pool to The Sanctuary.

Whether boarding on 5, 6, or 7 just walking to the forward elevators to go to deck 17 works.

Right. We first went down to passenger services (deck 5) to reserve our suite dinner perk. Then we went to the Sanctuary. That’s why we went to 5 then up to 17.
