berry15 Posted April 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2019 I am meeting relatives at LaGuardia coming off a different flight from me. There are 4 of us with luggage going to the NCL Escape. We wanted to get our own transportation to the pier instead of using the cruise line's bus. Has anyone used a company they can recommend for this? Thanks for any help
njhorseman Posted April 23, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2019 Many posters here have been happy with Dial 7 www.dial7.com and Carmel Limo www.carmellimo.com . When inquiring about rates be sure to give them an accurate count of passengers and luggage because four passengers will require a larger vehicle than their basic sedans. Other options are to take a NY City (yellow) taxi, or Uber/Lyft.
AF-1 Posted April 24, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2019 berry15, have you read the east coast threads about LGA? There is construction going on at the airport until next year; so you may want to figure that into your transportation time.
princeton123211 Posted April 24, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2019 I used to live in Midtown-- frankly yellow cabs are perfectly adequate-- its generally a quick trip when there isn't traffic or construction. These days I use Uber/Lyft when I fly into LGA and need to get to Midtown as the cars are a little nicer than taxis and the cost is the same if not a little bit less. Dial 7 and Carmel we're fine back in the day but nothing really special and not worth finding a needle in a haystack at the airport departures over when you can use the Uber/Lyft app to find them quickly (I never have a driver meet me inside an airport with a traditional car service-- its a waste of time and money).
