Mine for September 20 X sailing is still Pending but from my experience I often don't get an answer till 48 hours before sailing.

 I can't blame X for trying to sell all their cabins at Full Price.

Our cruise is today & was also pending for a long time, we never did receive any notice but went into move-up & it now says expired.

I doubt it's either.  I think they stay pending until either accepted or they expire right before the cruise.  My last was accepted a week or so before the cruise, but there were a lot of rooms open in the category.

Whoops. Got it. What I am hearing is that for these super full itineraries, moveups are done the last few days. Since there’s no availability, they wait for all the cancellations last minute to roll in before they start reviewing bids and upgrading from suites on down.

Pretty much.  I think that while they are still covid testing and giving refunds if you have it, there are more last minute cancellations than pre-covid.   (In May, we had to give up a perfectly lovely Aqua room because my test was still positive - canceled 2 days before).

Minimum bid was $100. I bid $110 but had to pay double occupancy so came out to $220.  Went from Solo cabin with obstructed view on 6th floor to Concierge room 11th floor aft.  All in a GREAT deal as a Solo traveler getting regulation sized room without paying for 2 people. Currently a $3500K difference between room I booked and what I moved up to!

Min bid for ocean view: $50pp, veranda: $100pp.  The winning bid of $110pp was still considered weak.  As of 17 days before sailing, it looks to be about 60-70% booked - there's a lot of ocean views (more empty than occupied), quite a few verandas, and several Celebrity suites still available.

Noticed it had gone to Pending but greyed out yesterday but didn't want to think this was necessarily a good sign as the same thing happened on my RCI cruise earlier this year and it didn't mean anything.  But just got the confirmation. Sometimes the "obstructed" cabins really aren't THAT obstructed.  Good Luck!

I wouldn’t worry they are not as bad as they sound, plus… they are no way near as obstructed as an inside cabin… for a couple of hundred dollars each it’s still way worth it 😊
