We were in Concierge Class on the Summit last month.  Some of those canapes were very weird.  And some needed a cracker or tortilla chip or even fork or spoon, but none was given.  Who wants to eat a beet salad with their fingers?

Many times, if you are not in your cabin when the snacks are delivered (or get there shortly thereafter), they lose any quality they may have had.  They are all in the same plate with a cover so if any of the snacks have bread and others do not, the bread absorbs the moisture and gets soft and the moist items get dry.  In most cases you're really not missing much if you skip the snacks - some of them are kind of a waste and some are really kinda funky.

Ssshhh!  Don't tell anyone but you can.  Just take it to Cellar Master's and ask to swap it for a red or white.  Our Concierge on the Solstice in January told us to do this when we told him that we didn't drink the sparkling but I did drink Rose.

We have always been able to exchange the sparkling wine for a more drinkable wine, but how one does it seems to vary by cruise.  On some, you can just ask your room steward and it magically happens, on others we have asked the wine steward at dinner the first night if we could bring it the next night and exchange...answer has always been yes...and they either replace it with the house white/red, or they give us a $28 credit towards another bottle of wine.  We have never tried cellar masters...but maybe that's another path.

Word of advice...if the sparkling wine is in a bath of ice..take it out before the label comes off if you want to exchange it.

Btw- the champagne/sparkling wine can't be substituted for red or white wine 😞

Our cabin steward offered us the choice of sparkling wine, or a bottle of red or white. He said to tell him when we wanted it delivered, and he brought it in a bucket of ice with 4 glasses (we were toasting with friends). It was great, easy peasy. 😊
