I am curious by the statement in red. Is what they are saying is that if you booked a cruise that is 45 days the FCD does not apply as far as the reduced deposit and OBC? In other words, do not use it for 45+ day voyages?

What they do for long cruises (used to be mostly World's), is you still can apply a FCD.  What Princess does is cash in the FCD and refund you the money originally paid.  Then, in exchange, they take a 3% discount off the fare.  This is in lieu of you receiving the OBC you get on shorter cruises (which also depends on cabin type booked).  Now you also have to pay the deposit which is generally refundable.   And you may owe a subsequent deposit later on.

We just did this recently in booking a WC segment.  There was no way to break it down in to shorter cruises to have it handled the "normal" way, and the 3% was more than we would have received as OBC.

Use one each the total benefit is $200 OBC, $100 each, plus a reduced deposit of $100 each.

FCD's are individual and are purchased and used in the named person.

To be perfectly clear, when you purchased the FCD, you effectively paid the $100 deposit. So when you make the booking, no additional deposit is needed.
