joniv Posted May 14, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2019 We booked our transfers from the airport to the port through Suntransfers and paid up front for going to the port and return to the airport upon our return. Going to the port the driver dropped us at a bus transfer instead of the ship and we had to wait on a long line, deal with our own luggage in the rain, because he said that no one was allowed to drive to the ship. Upon our return, we waited for our taxi and after a half hour we asked one of the port authority personnel to help us, because we were getting nervous that we were going to miss our flight. She told us we had to get back on that shuttle bus and go to the place they dropped us off. We did that (with our luggage) to find no one waiting there. Again, I asked the port personnel to help because the phone numbers they had on the receipt answered in in Italian. A very helpful woman looked at our receipt and told us that for the price we paid, the company should have a permit to go to the ship and that the address on the receipt was not somewhere that we could have gotten to. She tried to call the numbers and got a computerized answering machine that was not helpful. She started texting them and they told her that it was too late now and the driver had left us. After paying up front, I couldn't believe that could happen. We had to find another taxi fast and pay another 140 Euros to make our flight. I contacted them upon my return home and got nowhere with there "Quality" Team Coordinator. Her response was that she felt the outcome was appropriate and fair. Save your money and avoid a headache DON'T USE THEM.
Daisyloo Posted May 14, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2019 Good info. Thanks . Advice for the future - make sure the company you arrange a transfer with is allowed to drop you right at the ship. Many are available that can do this.

Rare VMax1700 Posted May 15, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2019 Suntransfers appear to be agents and do not run their own transport fleet. Their website shows transfers from 400 + airports. This would be the first warning signal. As CruiserBruce says, where did you get information about them? Did you read any of the numerous suggestions and recommendations for reputable companies shown on this forum?
