Hi,

We booked NCL Joy for Alaska and was assigned Deck-9, stateroom-9852

It shows me small triangle which means, it is connecting room.

does it mean that balcony have less privacy or rooms will have a door between (which may be blocked permanently, o think) ?

We are traveling with 3 years old. Do we know if that is not near any ‘so loud’ area and he can sleep well?

Please suggest.

Thanks

There is a connecting door to the next room. This is locked unless opened by a cabin steward. Slight chance of some noise through the doors.

Your room is over the Ocean Blue galley under you. It is also close to the Cavern Club on Deck 8 which may result with some vibrations and music sounds late into the night. And there may be people from the club on the waterfront walkway under your balcony making noise. Any room over a public area or under a public area may have some noise.

You are also down wind of the smoking lounge 1 deck below and will get some smoke smell whilst on your balcony

I hope/wish, those sounds would be manageable, specially music sound. For people's sound, not an issue.

Have you been on your cruise yet?  If yes, did you encounter any noise issues while in your cabin?  We were assigned a cabin in the same general area and are curious.  Thanks!
