Barsnikel Posted June 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2019 We have never done self-assist debarkation, but I understand how it works. What I don't know is if they have any coffee or munchies in the waiting area ? I'm the type of person that has to have coffee in the morning to get started 🙂

LRDR01 Posted June 5, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2019 We have done the Platinum Self Assist many times. Yes, they will have coffee, tea, juices and pastries set up in the area that you will wait to disembark.
riffatsea Posted June 5, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 5, 2019 Yes, they have it in the waiting area but you can also order room service or go to the buffet to get coffee before getting to the waiting area! I need my coffee before I leave my cabin!
JaniceB Posted June 5, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 5, 2019 On the Horizon they have coffee and pastries too.
Doggielover68 Posted June 6, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 6, 2019 On the Miracle, I did not see any pastries. It was very crowded and there wasn't anywhere convenient to sit. I suppose it depends on how many Platinum cruisers there are on your sailing. I think there were quite a few in Tampa...

mom2girls Posted June 8, 2019 #9 Share Posted June 8, 2019 I’ve always gone to the mdr for breakfast first. Then, I go to the meeting place for Platinum self assist debarkation.

I go to the main dining room. They open at 6:00 am.
ALWAYS CRUZIN Posted June 8, 2019 #12 Share Posted June 8, 2019 We go to Lido early, they also open at 6 however most of the time it is about 10 min early. Never ever had a problem with seating. Not usually that busy when they first open. Everything is nice and hot and no one rushing. We take our sweet time and leave when we are ready. We leave our luggage in the state room out of the way so they can make up the room for the next guests. That has never been a problem. If we happen to see the steward, we ask him and they always say no problem. Usually we are not not in any hurry to leave. We drive and use off site parking. Anyone doing Diamond or Platinum self assist, can leave the ship anytime after they start. Once they start calling tags. That is when the self assist have finished. leaving just after that is fast.
