Milestone Cruise Question

I know at one time Carnival had what they called a milestone cruise, that when you had twenty-five cruises you received a reduced price on your cruise and special OBC.  Do they still have this or has it been done away with like all the other perks that have gone to the wayside in recent years?

Yes, the Milestone program is still active.

My understanding is that you receive only OBC and no reduction in cruise fare.

The amount of OBC depends upon which milestone you are attaining.  For example, for the 25th cruise, you'll be entitled to 25% of your cruise fare as OBC, 50% for the 50th and so on.

Also, it's been explained to me, that you don't have to use your milestone benefit directly on your 25th or 50th (etc) cruise.  Once attaining the milestone, you can elect to use the OBC on any cruise following the milestone cruise.  For example, you can use your 25th milestone benefit on your 26th or 27th cruise....but, I think there is a time limit as to when you have to use it, but I could be mistaken.

I'll find out for sure next year when my wife and I hit our 25th with Carnival.  Even though it will be our 27th Carnival cruise, we're anticipating using our 25% OBC on a 16 day cruise from San Francisco to Hawaii.

I'm sure others here can provide further details as to how the program operates.

Thanks Garnett.  That is the way I thought it was, but wasn't sure.  We are doing our 25th cruise in Sept, but it is a casino offer that we got at a very good rate, so will wait before we use the OBC.

The above information is correct. Just be aware that the OBC is based on your base cruise fare, excluding port fees and taxes. As for a time limit I have read that it has to be booked within two years, but I've also heard that it just has to be used before you hit your next milestone. Don't know for sure since I never let it get that far. :classic_biggrin: Just used my 50th cruise milestone on our recent Hawaii cruise on the Splendor. (52nd cruise). That was a nice chunk of change! :classic_biggrin:

Had mine in Feb. Received the 25% onboard credit. There was not reduction in fare.

Is it a refundable OBC so that you get check at the end of the cruise if you do not spend it all?

The OBC is non-refundable.

We used my wife’s OBC from her 25th cruise on Horizon in March. We are using my OBC from my 25th cruise on Breeze at the end of this month. One phone call to Carnival was all it took to have the OBC added to our cruises.

I believe it is supposed to be non refunable. Foe some reason on mine in Feb they split it into partial refunable and partially non refunable. I asked guest services and he did nto know why. I did receive a check for the refunable portion at the end. I did not send it back. LOL
