sofiefleurie Posted June 15, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2019 Since the removal of the International Cafe, does anyone know what the venues are for espresso drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, etc) for early morning risers? Is La Patisserie open 24 hours? I can't tell from Princess website description. Thank you

When it’s open La Patisserie has the same options the IC would have. I believe they open around 6:00 to 6:30 am.
Rare HaveDogWillTravel Posted June 15, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2019 Here’s the dining guide on the Island this May. You can get espresso at the Patisserie or MDR for a modest fee. If you are in a full suite you get them for free in Sabatini’s from 7:30 to 10:30 (sea days) or until 9:30 port days.
BabySarge Posted June 15, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 15, 2019 Not 100% certain but pretty sure you can also get an espresso in the buffet area along with the other specialty coffees.

sofiefleurie Posted June 15, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted June 15, 2019 Thank you all. I was on the Coral recently and was under the impression the Island was its sister ship, identical before the refurbish. I guess I assumed their was an International Cafe that had been removed! Considering a future long cruise on the Island and early morning coffee is crucial!! ☺️
finishedover30cruises Posted June 15, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 15, 2019 So is there no where to get a latte at 3 or 4 am on the Island?? Or even just brewed coffee. Is this true only on the Island or there other Princess ships that have this downfall?

As you probably noticed it was stuck in an area/part of the casino that was removed. It is a quarter of the size of the regular IC on Grand Class ships. The baffling thing is they should have added an IC to the Island during its chop job in 2015. 🤔🙄

On Princess ships with an international cafe you can get all specialty coffees 24 hrs. At that hour on the island you’d order room service coffee or a pot of hot water that you could use with a drip system/aero press/French press you’ve brought. finishedover30cruises Posted June 18, 2019 #10 Share Posted June 18, 2019 But my question was what other ships (if any) do NOT have a 24 hour IC.

Island, Diamond and Pacific. Have you regularly been successful in getting a latte at 3 or 4 AM on the ships with an IC? As there have always been reports that they close for cleaning at some point during the overnight hours. Though they do put out self-serve brewed coffee and teabags & hot water all night.
