Smoking Section on Celebrity Equinox

Hello,

I am looking to book my first cruise with Celebrity, but from what I am reading their smoking sections are very limited. Can anyone tell me where the smoking sections are on the Celebrity Equinox?  My husband is a smoker (I know he needs to quit, nothing I can do about that) and I want to have this information when making an educated decision on whether or not we are going to pull the trigger on the cruise we are considering...

I appreciate any help and input you have!

Lisa

Copied from another thread:

The only smoking areas are outside areas. There is an outside smoking area on the port side of deck 5 mid ship. There is a smoking area on the port side of the pool deck, but it is not one whole side of the pool deck. Mast bar on deck 14 has a smoking area. Sunset Bar on 14 has a smoking area. No smoking is allowed in the Casino.

I'm a smoker, and have found the smoking areas sufficient, although finding an empty seat is sometimes a challenge  depending on the time of day. ( the pool area DSA can be crowded in daytime, the deck 5 DSA likewise in the evening).

With the recent "revolution" ship update, I'm not sure of the locations.  Usually  Deck 5, Port side, 1 spot on deck 14 near the Mast Bar and on 15 near the sunset bar.

Most cruise lines have become fairly restrictive on smoking.

I just booked a cruise on the Equinox and confirmed with my Celebrity contact  that the Sunset Bar still has one side designated as a smoking area ( including cigars). YEA!

My husband and I smoke cigars and even we appreciate restrictive smoking rules, particularly inside busy areas like the casino, but it is nice to have one comfortable , open , scenic area ( with a bar !) for those of us who still smoke.

For me, as a smoker, I find Celebrity ships smoking areas more than meet my needs and are all reasonably conveniently located i.e one flight up from Martini bar, half of Sunset bar , near indoor pool and just outside theatre. More than happy and have had great conversations. Smokers must talk to each other more!

PS when they need to close outdoor areas it can be a pain!!
