QE - sushi?

Any chance we will find sushi onboard the QE next week?

Yes I am sure you will. The buffet normally has sushi available - I think at lunchtime, not sure at dinner.

Yes, on three ships.

Yes they do. On QV a few days ago they had sushi and sashimi, along with plenty of soy sauce, pickled ginger and wasabi paste. I had it for lunch time, including on embarkation day.

Hi Stella1250 looking forward to St Petersburg , I'm  a Sushi Sashimi fan also, planing to have it for lunch most days, a healthy light lunch so I can indulge at night.

Get your butler to serve it on your balcony if weather is nice.

Yes every day in the Lido

Just disembarked QE today.

The fish selection leans heavily toward tuna and salmon, either maki or sashimi. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but if you're looking for much adventure, just be happy that they're giving you raw fish.

If you are on a trans Atlantic, I think I would do it early in the trip. Even with refrigeration raw fish can go off, or not be at it's prime.

I expect it's previously frozen. Sushi should be frozen first to kill parasites.

Indeed. Pretty sure it is frozen then taken out when needed

Has anyone ever asked for fresh wasabi to be grated for them ? There is a huge difference from the little pea  coloured balls you get . It was one of our eating out highlights when we had this done at our table with Celebrity
