Hawaiian cruise

Recommended Posts

We are booked next May on a cruise from/to Hawaii, we board on May 7th, in Honolulu and ship doesn't depart until the next day the 8th at 5pm. Does that mean we can come and go off the ship to Honolulu, as long as we are on by 5pm leave time? Does that mean we spend the first night on the ship that's not sailing? Never taken this kind of cruise before. Thanks

Yes, you can come and go as you please...just be back by 5pm the next day.

Yes, you spend your first night in Honolulu.

We are guessing this is done because of a few reasons: 1. The long flights to Honolulu...gives passengers flexibility in the event something goes wrong with their flights.  2. It gives you more time to visit around Oahu.  3. Gives passengers an opportunity to try a Luau...often done in the evenings.  Aloha and Happy Sailing! 😎

Note: From the cruise terminal, you will only be approximately 15 minutes by bus, depending on traffic, to Waikiki Beach.  All seniors can ride the bus for a dollar.  Don't laugh, but there are also free shuttles to Walmart. 😊

4. RCI forgot that the ship needs a safety inspection and adds a day for it.
