No Luggage Tags??

Admittedly, our experience was on another line (Celebrity) and 10 yrs ago so none of this may be relevant now. For several reasons we were unable to get luggage tags prior to embarkation day. On advice from the CC board we just showed up at the pier, Celbrity had generic luggage tags available. Filled out our cabin, and away we went. Does HAL operate similarly for pax w/o tags?

If you login on your HAL account you can see your luggage tags. On the page where you can also do your online check-in

I don't know about tags at the pier............luggage is generally taken before you enter the terminal...........

 

You're able to print your tags when you complete your online check in.

Porters always have blank luggage tags, fill in your name and cabin number.  No need to print anything.

Correct.  Porters will have them.  People show up without the official ones all the time.

Thanks. There's a chance we won't be able to print out color luggage tags at all. Better to have black and white tags or none at all?

I have always printed B&W and never had a problem.

I always print on blue paper, just because I like it. Never had a problem whatsoever. (but I never embarked while other HAL ships embarked passengers at the same time....).

This has been discussed before regarding compatibility with how HAL sends the tags.  A "Pop Up Blocker" or some Firewall settings will stop them.  Also, trying a different browser can sometimes help.  Our desk top will not allow tags to print but can change to out lap top and do not have any problems, both using Chrome.

Use black and white if that's your option.  You will be fine.
