Golf Carts in Costa Maya

Maybe a silly question but is there only 1 cruise port in Costa Maya, Mexico and if so has anyone used the golf carts to get around? We will be sailing on The Symphony in Feb 2020 and this is one of the ports we stop at. I read an article about hiring golf carts in Mahahual but I am not sure if this is close to the port. Any help would be appreciated.

You can take the shuttle there was $3pp last time I was there.

There are golf carts available to rent in the complex near where the shuttles to Mahahual load.

If you walk outside the gated area there are vendors renting them for a about $10 less.

We rented it outside.  It held 4 people nicely.

Yes, only 1 cruise port in Costa Maya

 

While I guess golf carts are an option, the town is not that far away.  You can board an open air shuttle in the port area for $3 a person.  or you can walk outside the port area, down a block or two and get a taxi for $5 total

 

Getting a taxi on the way back is super easy
