eswort Posted July 21, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2019 Do you see the breakdown of this discount anywhere or is it just factored into the price that is offered when you book. I didn't see any discount on booking, just the bogo and flash sale discounts. Tried doing a test booking on two different browsers, one with me logged in and the other without and both have the same prices for balcony rooms. Being logged in or out no longer affects the price on RC's website. You have to enter your C&A number when making the mock booking. Also, the fake discounts also reduce the amount of balcony discount.
eswort Posted July 21, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted July 21, 2019 (edited) so basically having platinum status does nothing, since there are almost always some kind of "fake" sale that will reduce this discount Edited July 21, 2019 by eswort

But it does mean less than the advertised Platinum Discount.

This "instant discount" is not combinable at all with the balcony discount, so basically it eliminates anyone with a balcony discount from getting a price drop. You've got to admire the ways they find to reduce C&A benefits without much public knowledge.
cruiseguy1016 Posted July 21, 2019 #9 Share Posted July 21, 2019 Do a mock booking. On the page where it asks how many people will be in the stateroom, there is a spot to click on that reads "See if you qualify for exclusive rates". Click on that and then fill in the discounts that may apply to you, including your C&A number. Then when go through the mock booking process, you will get to the page that shows the price. On that page, next to "Summary" click on "View pricing by guest". There it will show a balcony discount if you have on.
