VIking Jupiter

Has anyone stayed in cabin 6092 or 6094?   Wondering if you hear noise from the Aquavit Terrace?

We stayed in 6080 and the noise from above (world cafe) - rolling carts was awful.  Staff came to the cabin and acknowledged, but did nothing.  We wrote several letters and called Viking as we were ready to just get off the ship.  This occurred after 10pm and before 4:00 am in the morning.  Viking has been very difficult and offered us 10% off a next cruise which is basically what we would have received if we had booked another cruise while on the Jupiter.  We were really disappointed in the treatment we received since we had previously taken 3 river cruises and an ocean cruise in Australia.  I would move the the 5th deck if you can or choose another cruise line.

Thanks for your comments. We have been able to move to 5100. We like Deck 5 and for this cruise port side is where we want to be.  Happy it was available.  Thanks again.

We have never had a bad experience with only  booking cabins with passenger cabins above, below, and across the corridor.  Before we figured that out, we found ourselves, on various cruises, above a disco, below the pool deck, or across the hall from the mop closet/scullery used by the stewards.

 

Also, once we have selected the perfect cabin for us, we have our booking marked "no upgrades".  The cruise line's idea of an upgrade might be to the cabin the OP described.

 We have stayed on deck 5 in 5101 and loved it.

Deck 5 is an excellent deck -- high enough to get a great view, close to the action on Decks 7 and 8, but buffered from overhead noise by Deck 6 cabins.

We were in 5089 last week.  Excellent cabin, I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Agree that Deck 5 is awesome. We didn't have any location-related issues.

Yes, and we couldn't have been happier on the 7th deck. We were so close to so many offerings, and the passenger area on 7 is very small compared to other decks, so it was very private. The other side of the deck houses the Owner's Suite, so the whole area is very quiet. Getting to the other decks is quick and easy thanks to the swift elevator, and the nice, high views from the balcony are wonderful. If you are in one of the DV1 cabins, of which there are only 2, the only thing you'll be missing is a laundry room as all the other suites have laundry services included in their amenities, a small drawback compared to the benefits of privacy, quiet and an excellent location to many venues. We stayed in 6017 on the Jupiter. It's below the Owner's Suite and the hallway dead ends with an entrance to the bridge. Very quite, literally no traffic, and the Explore's Lounge is one short flight of down stairs. We loved it.

Too funny, as we just left 6092 and our friends were in 6094 on the Chilean Fjords 12/21 departure.  We did hear noise usually twice a day and for a brief time.    It is from the movement of the outdoor patio table and chairs outside the World Cafe.  The crew seems to move and stack these each late afternoon or early evening and then set up again sometime mid-morning.  When I first heard the noise the day we boarded, it was an "oh no" moment because it is relatively loud for short period..But it never really amounted to anything for us as we are reasonably early risers (by 8am) and I found the cabin and this area of the ship to be extremely quiet aside from those brief times.  Would not stop me from the same cabins again.

Has anyone stayed in 4123 on Viking Jupiter?  It is an aft cabin and I'm interested in knowing if noise or smoke or vibration, etc may be an issue.  Motion not a concern. Thank you!

Have stayed in 4121.   No issues at all.  Loved it and have booked again for a cruise in March 2021, fingers crossed.

Just back from 4067.  Excellent.  In fact been on 5 Ocean Cruises with Viking and the cabins  have all been so comfortable.
