C & A points query

We are both Diamond level at the moment, and working up to D+. I always understood that, although owned by the same company, if you cruises with Celebrity, you would get equivalent status but not any additional points.

We have 29 nights on Celebrity.

 

We met several people on our recent cruise on Explorer who were convinced that they had received points on their C&A accounts for Celebrity cruises.

 

So, before l pester C&A, is this correct, or (as l suspect) were they wrong?

YOU are correct.  THEY are not.

I am sure that you are aware that Royal Caribbean and Celebrity reckon up points very differently.

Yes, l am indeed, but these folk were so adamant, we wondered if things had changed and we were missing out!

You are correct. And as a reminder,  the status match only goes up to diamond or elite.  That means if you are D+ or Pinnacle on RCCL you will be Elite on Celebrity. And if you are Elite + or Zenith on Celebrity you are Diamond on RCCL.
