cenmn18 Posted August 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2019 Wondering if there are stores within walking distance of the port terminal to pick up some pop prior to departure?
KeepCalmBearOn Posted August 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2019 There is a 7-11 nearby, if you need something bigger, more comprehensive, there is a Safeway on Robson.
Heidi13 Posted August 27, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2019 You have Waterfront Centre across the street below the Fairmont. For major outlets Costco is about 1 mile at BC Place, London Drugs is about 1/2 mile on Georgia and as previously noted the Safeway is just over a mile.

RocketMan275 Posted August 27, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 27, 2019 Many do not realize just how powerful a tool google maps can be. Center the map on your place of interest and type in the search block what you're looking for: convenience stores, wine shops, hotels, restaurants, fast foods, all will result in a map answering your questions on what is close by. 1

So true. There is a wealth of information on these maps. I just wish we had 10% of this information when I was a site location analyst back when. We had to drive and look for everything. Life would have been sooooo much easier! I even had to rent a small plane and pilot to take aerial photos myself of potential sites. Now with Google maps I can do it in seconds from my desk. SO TRUE! 👍 This has saved me time and time again. No offense intended as these cruise boards are a great resource, but in the time it takes to type out and post a question here, often you can have your answer with Google maps. My husband uses street view to get his bearings when we are going to a new city; it helps us find our hotel, stores, restaurants, etc. 😊

Plan the route and then drive it on Street View from departing the motorway to the campground. With a 41' trailer have no desire to get stuck on a dead-end road. Tweedy Posted September 19, 2019 #9 Share Posted September 19, 2019 Another location that wasn't mentioned was Dollarama at Harbour Centre (street level on Cordova). If you are looking for soda, it's $1/1L for Pepsi.
