Casino Bounce Back

Hey Everyone,

 

I received a casino bounce back on my last Sunshine cruise that was 5 days (Had around 4900pts).  It has to be used in 6 months (February 2020), and I really would like to wait until Spring Break / Summer vacation.  If I skip the bounce back cruise now, do most people receive additional free cruise offers after this one expires, or should I take the cruise while I still can?

Will they still send their standard offers?  For example, this cruise we were offered $500 OBC + DOU card.

We don't receive additional cruise offers but will keep getting casino offers which for my other half gives him $500-$1000 casino cash.

It is infrequent that I can use my bounce-back offers, yet I still receive a lot of offers from Carnival - premier, dealer's choice, getaway, discount + casino cash + dou, etc.

Sometimes you get a better deal than the bounce back.  For example, I am sailing on the Breeze in 10 days on a Premier deal (7 days to Bermuda) - $500 free play and my sister gets $1000, DOU, etc. for a total cost of $1743.54 - balcony on deck 9.  If you deduct the free play - that would be a total of $243.54 for both of us.

 

I received a Bounce Back offer from my last cruise on the Paradise & took the offer to book another cruise in January, again on the Paradise (4 days to Cozumel). After all was said and done, I booked an interior for two which cost a total of $421.04.  No free play, just DOU.  Four days in interior on Empress deck for $421.04 vs. seven days in Balcony for $243.54 (including free play of course).

 

Something doesn't sound right (lol).  If I would have given it a little more thought, I would have waited for my next Premier offer.  

 

The Bounce Back offers I've received in the last couple of years are no where near the offers back a few years ago, when you could book a balcony on a 7 day cruise for little more than taxes and port fees.

I definitely agree with the bounce-back offers not being as generous as they used to be.  However, my dealers choice ($200 casino cash and dou card) cruise in January just changed to a premier cruise - with $1500 casino cash, party, gifts, etc.  I called my pvp and she changed my booking with no problem.  The cruise had cost me $1400 (this includes prepaid grats) so I did pretty well so far - comes out to a "free" cruise.

Yes, once in, you're in, you'll continue to receive offers,,,but the bounce back is the best deal price for a cruise that won't be given again unless you earn one on another cruise!

Premier cruises seem to be the best deal by far.  I took a dealers choice in July & will be on another in November.  I sure wish the November cruise would change to Premier.

Forgive my ignorance but how many dollars wagered are we talking for that 4900 pts? Is it $1 per point? I enjoy gambling but usually set my budget fairly low, around $100 per day max. Do those of you that get these bounce back and other offers typically range in the same amount of points? I usually get casino offers from Carnival but they are considerably less generous. Usually only amounting to a slightly lower fair and reduced deposits. Just wondering if its worth gambling a little more in the casino for better offers.

Bounce-back offers, from what I understand, go to the handful of biggest players for the cruise they were on.  I was on the Fascination, which is one of the small ships, and there weren't many people in the casino.  I gambled around $500 per day on slots and blackjack, but I did see bigger betters than me playing. (I didn't lose all of it, but I didn't end up ahead either!)  Bounce-back offers don't get repeated.

 

Premiers and Ultra type offers are based on the lists of their gamblers and how much they typically play, so those offers do get repeated.

 

Don't gamble more just to get better offers - you'll lose more also!  Play what you enjoy and can afford, and have fun on the cruise!

Ha! Sound advice. I get premier, getaway, and dealers choice offers. I like premier cruises. Then I read about ultra, elite, bounce back and think - hmm maybe I should gamble more. NOT!!!!!!😉
