tcmagnum Posted September 21, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2019 (edited) If I book directly with MSC what are my options if the price goes down? Do they let you rebook for lower price? Same question if I have a travel agent? I had a TA but not sure how but she loss my reservations when she went to rebook by not putting the $ down fast enough (kind of not happy right now...She loss me the cabin I wanted and the cheaper rate. Now what? Book directly with MSC? Try same TA again? Get new TA? Where do I find one who deals with MSC a lot.. Epos Man Posted September 21, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2019 in the uk unlike the US we lose the deposit if the price drops with the US you don't lose your deposit if you cancel before 90 days and rebook, I generally would book direct unless the TA can beat the price,
deliver42 Posted September 21, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2019 Especially with MSC, I book direct because most TA's don't know enough about MSC to really help.

If the prices drop before final payment then you can cancel and re-book, MSC refunds or transfers the deposit with no fee while a TA may have a fee. If the price drops after final payment you are stuck with the price structure at the time you booked. A TA cant help either, unless they're willing to give you back some of their commission in OBC or some other offer.
