Planning a Bar Crawl on Voyager, not sure what times the bars open.

 

Checked my previous Explorer Cruise Compasses but bar opening times not listed.

 

Anyone have an idea what the opening times are?

 

I know with the refurb that Playmakers & the Bamboo Room will add to the quota.

Good day  digger.

 The earliest would be the one at windjammers 7:00 you can get your heart starter and then they progressively open , closing times you have got me there.My guess is the promenade bars 1:00 or 2:00.

 

Now I answered your question ,How many sheep are you going to smuggle on?

Have put together the Scavenger Hunt already figured it will help our group get familiar with the ship layout, then the Bar Crawl will confuse them!

When the amplification was announced Bamboo Room and Playmakers were on the list.

 

Will find out in 2 weeks when passengers are on the first post upgrade cruise!

Sadly, the official amplified press release from Royal Caribbean was underwhelming.  Omitting a number of improvements I was hoping for such as the aforementioned bars.

Press releases for other ships such as Explorer and Navigator do indeed include Playmakers Bar among others so unfortunately it looks like Voyager is going to be black sheep of the revamped ships.

Also, updated deck plans and photos from the Singapore dry dock show that Johnny Rockets has also been removed.

I am not so sure the amplifications have been a resounding success with the passengers, even if they may be for better revenue..

Woah, if that press release is all there is I would rather have sailed Ovation!

 

No mention of the Bamboo Room, Playmakers, Jamies or Hibachi at Izumi.

 

This trip could be a bust.

 

When NOTS and MOTS were getting amped lots of info and sneak peek photos.

 

Getting sweet sod all updates regarding the VOTS amplification, maybe this is why.

Yes, the Voyager ships are nice to cruise on and the blue hull I am sure will make it special, but I was really looking forward to what was advertised.

 

DH says it will be a great cruise anyway!

Lots of photos being posted elsewhere showing the progress of work etc, including by someone who seemingly is part of the revamp crew.

 

Not sure of the differences between what was promised and what has been done, but will be happy to board in March.

Yes we have been short changed with voyager.

she has another dry dock in the start of 2021 to finish it. Probably waiting on your bar bill to pay for it.

With the problems in Hong Kong ,Royal is playing it safe and may move a few ships around.They don’t want to asianise it to much.

yes that's where I've seen them. New slides, changes to Adventure Ocean, laser game, spa & gym moved, more cabins, suite lounge replaces DL on 14, with DL moved to 5, and blue bottom

Looks like they are really targeting the family cruisers, mostly by honing in on the how to amuse your kids section.

 

I thought with the original upgrade the Voyager would be a scaled back alternative to Ovation, looks like it will be more like a slightly upgraded Explorer, yes, I know they are both Voyager class, LOL 😋

 

Going to be a great trip anyways!

 No big ball on the back,I think they have a big lawsuit for the one on marina.

we are in a grand suite in 8 weeks ,it’s says food all day in the suite Lounge. Can’t wait.

Thanks Chiliburn.  I have actually been stalking Cruise Critic for years now but only occasionally contribute.

I am also in Grand Suite over Christmas and look forward to checking out all the renovations.  I have been in the Concierge lounge before but have always preferred the Diamond Lounge up next to the Viking Crown lounge.  Now that this is the suite lounge it should be much more comfortable than the old cramped concierge lounge with no windows.
