Restaurants in South Boston, near the Double Tree Bayside

May not be the best area to wander around on foot at night.  I’d look at the restaurants in the Seaport District - much bigger selection of more upscale interesting restaurants.  Uber to and from the Seaport area - probably in the $10 range each way.

Agreed.  That hotel isn't really near anything, and it's across a highway from the closest neighborhood, which isn't a place I'd go wandering in.

I'll add to this.  Either Seaport area or up to SoWa (south of Washington) or South End have a lot of good places.

I've found several great restaurants in South Boston. Highly recommend Fox and Knife, one of the best restaurant experiences I've had this year.  Also, I like the Paramount on Broadway.

My experience driving in South Boston during day light hours, there is plenty of foot traffic around the area where Bay Side hotel is located.
