MLB at Sea?

Hello all. We sail on the Pride on Sunday. Anyone know if any of the bars are showing post season games? We are big baseball fans and it would be so nice to be able to see some games while on the ship. TIA!

Generally the answer is yes. On the Magic this summer, some games were being shown in the casino.

I watched a couple of games this summer

on Glory...the thing is those games were on ESPN and ESPN doesn’t have the postseason games. We’re talking Fox, FS1, and TBS.

 

We’re probably going to need to hear from someone who has been on a ship this week or last.

If they are on the ships network the sports bar should have them on. If they are not on one of the bar tvs ask to have it put on one of them . I’ve sat in the bar on occasion watching baseball.

Like Saint Greg mentioned, Carnival doesn’t carry the networks that are broadcasting MLB playoffs. It’s likely the only way baseball playoff games will be available on ships is if the game is shown on ESPN Caribbean.

Check out the sports bar next to the Red Frog Pub - they have multiple screens with sports all the time.

I was on the Pride in Oct 2017. They had all the baseball playoffs on.  They streamed Fox through the onboard ESPN networks.

The sports bar (and maybe some others) definitely have access to just about anything that's up on the satellite, it's just a matter of the ship decides to pay for, it's essentially pay-per-view, tor that's the way it was explained to me.

That's before they got rid of the fox and turner stations. They seem to only have the ESPN's and SEC Network for sports now. For playoffs they may have something special setup like they do with NFL. That's why I think we need to hear from someone who has been on the ship during the playoffs this year.

We were on the Magic last week to Bermuda.  The only baseball playoffs were the ESPN broadcasts.  So I had to follow my Astros on my phone.  The Magic does not have a sports bar, but I don't think it would have mattered anyway.  ESPN or nothing.
