Boston - Free Shuttle?

Our cruise will be stopping in Boston overnight.

Does Oceania have a free shuttle from the port to Boston?

If so how late does it run?

If you have overnighted in Boston, how late can you return to the ship?

We are planning to meet relatives for dinner in Boston and I am trying to plan our transportation from the port to Boston and back to the ship.

They had a shuttle when we were there in Nov. As we didn't spend the night there I don't know how late it ran. It was a free shuttle. It ran to the Faneuil Hall area.

Small, occasional Ports such as Boston are very quixotic when it comes to staffing around the gangway, and it also makes a difference where your ship has been before Boston, so if you plan on returning to the ship late, I'd suggest having a local hotel "at the ready", just in case.

You may not need the information, but knowledge IS power.

AFAIK

They  will post  times  when you should be back onboard  but usually  you can come & go as you please

some ports as Jim said may be a problem with port personnel

Usually the crew is out until 2-3 am  🙂

If no shuttle  that late then a taxi should work

It's been almost 2 years now, but when we were in Boston, there was a shuttle - same location as mentioned by Orv.  I think it took about 10 minutes from port to shuttle drop, and maybe 3-4 minutes of walking to get to Faneuil Hall.  I took an Uber back to the port, although the driver could not (or did not want to, who knows?!) drop me right at, or in the port, so I had to walk a little.  But where I needed to go was obvious and didn't take more than a minute of walking.  Maybe a taxi can get closer; not sure.
