SRV FAN Posted November 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2019 I have searched & searched & cannot find a topic on my question. Can anyone shed any light on why the Liberty came in around 1:00 am & is scheduled to depart late today in Galveston? My kiddos are sailing today & they got an email the other day saying they will depart late today as there will be divers preforming work on her...Is something wrong with the ship? Clarea Posted November 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2019 If there are divers working on the ship, then I'd say there's a good chance some maintenance is required. Does it make a difference what specific type of maintenance?
JupiterTwo Posted November 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2019 This isn't the first time this year that the Liberty was delayed due to divers doing maintenance. It's now the third one that I'm aware of. It happened to me on the August 4 sailing. We didn't depart until 2:00am the next morning. Steve
c-leg5 Posted November 10, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 10, 2019 Any updates from those onboard as to what the actual problem is? We were on the Liberty sailing two years ago that got re-scheduled to two nights in Nassau for maintenance instead of original route - just wondered if this was something that might be in our future again on upcoming cruises.
