Cost of Sodas / Mixed Drinks

Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of purchasing a soda from the bars or Dining Room on board? Also alcoholic beverages....just a rough idea... for a beer or Margarita?

Cans of soda run around $4.  Beers $6 to $8.  Frozen cocktails around $12 - $13.

Adding to what Bob said, most mixed drinks on the rocks are around $13-$16. Glasses of wine usually run $13+

This is actually where the cruise lines make a profit.  My understanding is the cruise fare doesn't really make the company break even.  It's the extras that do it, which is why you can see some great "deals" half way though a cruise on dining and drink packages if the cruise is down on revenue.

I drink Miller Lite and with 18% gratuity added (we have the package but once in a while get charged incorrectly) the total was about $9.50.  Husband drinks Makers/Ginger Ale and his is around $12.50 or a bit higher.  That is why for us, the package totally pays for itself.

I believe I've read, on CC probably, that alcohol and the Casinos are the two biggest money makers for the Cruise Lines. I'm not much of a drinker, but I'd probably spend more time and money in the Casinos if I could breath in there!

The shops are also a big profit center.  It can be more than the casino at times.
