Elation---NCAA Football playoff game?

Although the Elation doesn't have a sports bar, it's possible that one one of the lounges might have a TV tuned in to a sporting event. Whether or not the LSU playoff game is on television on the ship is hard to say. A little over a year ago, Carnival switched to a different satellite provider that has fewer channels to pick from, most notably sports channels.

They should have the football playoff games on! Last year, I was on the Fascination at the same time, and I sat down and watched Michigan-Florida (sad, but Go Blue regardless), and I remember walking past and seeing the Alabama-Oklahoma and Notre Dame-Clemson games. They either played them in the casino or in the Lido buffet on the TVs in the back, because I don't remember the Fascination having a sports bar. Nonetheless, you should be all good, and should see your games!

I am very excited for y'all, but my real SEC team will always be Georgia, so I am holding out for them. Would love if y'all won it as well!! Geaux Tigers!! 😄

We cruise for New Years annually & unfortunately, this can be VERY hit & miss. If there's a Sports Bar, it'll have it...although it will be packed to the gills. Beyond that, if there's no "real" Sports Bar (no....the smokers bar in the casino is not a Sports Bar) it's depended on the ship. Dream class has been a challenge. One year they showed the first game on the Lido big screen....then played the second game on about a 50 inch flat screen, on the stage of the comedy club. Another year it was on a couple screens in the smoker / casino bar....and two of the TINY screens in the Red Frog. Last year, it was on a bunch of the screens, above the table games in the casino...so of course, football watchers "took over" all the slot machine seating.

Feels like they can't really figure out how to prioritize the CFP. They have a big party for Super Bowl. We sailed during March Madness one year & the Final Four games were made into a HUGE deck party. College Football Playoff hasn't...at least through this first 5 years...gotten the same treatment on board.

Oh & Go Buckeyes! :-)

Was on the Liberty two years ago and had to watch my Clemson Tigers get beat by Bama on a small screen at the casino bar as the sports bar was absolutely packed more than a half hour prior to the game.

I'm pretty sure that whatever ship you're on, you'll be able to find the game somewhere.  We hope to meet your Tigers at some point during the playoffs this year.  Good luck!

On the Elation, the Gatsy's Great Bar, outside of the Cole Porter lounge should have the games on.  That is the default sports area of the Fantasy class ships.  Good luck!

Yup....same experience here.

Sailing on Elation from Port Canaveral 12/28/19.  Sure would like to watch LSU win their playoff game!!  Anyone know if the ship televises national network sports programs?

Thanks in advance, and GEAUX Tigahs💜💛🏈

Good luck on finding the game.  They may show it in a sports bar.  Not to mention, you don't want to ruin your cruise when you lose to the Buckeyes do you????  :😁🤣

Thank you all for your informative responses!

OceansOfTravels....UGA has always been my SECOND favorite SEC team and we’ll be driving up to Atlanta for the game, but I won’t be pulling for them this time lol.

Surfcat, mmb3124, and buckeyefrank, it’s an exciting time for us LSU Tiger fans....I’m just so happy to be back in the hunt at this point!!  If not for Ohio’s native son, I believe only a mid-tier bowl game would be on our radar!  Were tickled to death with Joe Burreaux and hope like hell he wins the Heisman.

Geaux Tigahs 💜💛
