What sort of entertainer was in the pub when you went?  I know it may have changed as they do from time to time.

We were on Brilliance over Thanksgiving. The entertainer in the pub was a guitar player/vocalist. I believe his name was James Brown. He was good. We love the Brilliance. Have been on her 6 or 7 times and have 2 more cruises booked. Just the right size for us.

Thank you!!  I know on many of the large ships,  the Park Cafe' is famous for the Beef of Weck sandwich.  Is that something they have on Brilliance as well?  I haven't ever tried it. Maybe a first time.
What is your favorite snack at Park Café?   I know that's very subjective but always interested in opinions.

Yes, Brilliance also has the roast beef sandwich.

I like the egg/muffin sandwiches and bagels for breakfast.

We did Europe a few years ago they had a really good guitar player there , in most of our rccl cruises there was a entertaining guitar player in the pub area .

What type music did he play?  Original tunes?  Classic rock style stuff?  Current pop/easy listening?

Do have question about Viking Crown lounge and/or Deck 13.   Is that for all cruisers or is it an area that has been converted to use for suites/ Diamond/ Concierge only?    I am only Platinum so I have no "superpowers."

The Diamond Lounge and the Concierge Lounge are on Deck 13 and are rooms that require “keyed” entrance.  However the Viking Crown (Starquest Lounge) is open to the public most of the time.  Some public events like the art auction or dance classes may be scheduled there during the day, so it’s not always quiet.  The area could also be closed during the cocktail hours if there are a ton of D and D+ cruisers, but on my recent trips the Colony Club has been used instead to accommodate an excessive number of D and D+ folks during the cocktail hours.

Since I am the OP,  I can appreciate that Brilliance is in Radiance class- so I can see why the person said something.   I appreciate the input.  For those who have been on multiple Radiance class ships- any similarities and comparisons are certainly welcome.  I am, however, particularly interested in any special features of Brilliance that people have found they really love (or hate).
What I know people don't like is  (1) "small size" (for those who are partial to the large ships and shopping malls at sea), (2) heavy presence of the cigarette smoke from casino in Centrum area (and maybe other areas?).  I am aware of those two criticisms, so don't particularly need feedback on those.

I appreciate the generalized information about smaller ships for more port intensive itineraries.

What I am seeking are particulars such as the outdoor windjammer seating, the fact that the solarium is enclosed and not really with a retractable roof.   Great info about the schooner bar. Great info about the Viking Crown Lounge.   Any other hidden treasures?

For those who have sailed recently, any crew members that were particularly impressive.  Great bartenders?  Activity directors?

A crew member told me on the Jewel TA last year that they do not open the roof while the ship is underway. Multiple times in port, the roof was open on that sailing.

I am on the Brilliance right now, doing a 7 night cruise (unusual for Brilliance).  We are in Cozumel today, and, surprisingly, have to tender.  Enchantment and Symphony are docked.

The Viking Crown Lounge is being used as overflow for the Diamond Lounge in the evening for this cruise.

There have been a variety of entertainers in the Schooner Bar.  Classic sing-along with the piano, instrumental only with just guitar, just piano and also strings trio.

The Christmas decorations were finally set up yesterday into today.
