TomOG Posted January 6, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2020 We are on a 12 day British Isles cruise at the end of September 2020. One of the members of our group has a question about the use of the pools at that time of year in the British Isles. I know everything is weather dependent, but does anyone have any experience or thoughts about using the pools at that time of year? i would think it would be too cool, but any advice to relate to her would be helpful. Thanks!

Thanks! I agree, it will be too cool. It's often cool on this itinerary mid summer.
TheRabbit Posted January 6, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2020 The Retreat pool (Sun Deck) though not covered is more protected from the wind. That could be a pool you could use, plus there are two hot tubs near by.
nini Posted January 6, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 6, 2020 TomOG- We are also doing this cruise in September. What are your cruise dates and have you joined your Roll Call? I did not see you on ours which is September 13, 2020.
Rare Hlitner Posted January 7, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2020 Unfortunately, since they built their first couple of Grand Class ships, Princess has not put all-weather pools on any of their new builds. Why? It has long been a mystery for which we have never solved. When they built the Grand and Golden Princess they did have pools with a retractable roof. But then it all ended. I guess Princess figures nobody cares....or at least Princess does not care if anyone cares. Hank
KreinKrunker Posted January 9, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 9, 2020 We used the Crown Princess pool a few times in Sept 2019, on 28 day British Isles and Trans Atlantic. It was a little cold on a couple of days. Not too bad once you got in.
