Link 2 bookings on Ocean Ready

I did look on the Medallion and Ocean Ready threads but did not find an answer.

We have 6 family members on Regal in April with 2 cabins and 2 separate bookings.  Everyone will have a phone.

Can we link the2 bookings on every phone in Ocean Ready?

I don't know if you will need to link the reservations.  If your main purpose is to communicate via phone; you will be able to do that once onboard the ship.  You don't have to link accounts to communicate.  What is your main reason to link the bookings?

Agree. If linking is for dining and billing then I think you need to do this through your booking process. If linking is just to find and text others on board you can link on the medallion app by selecting Link Your Booking.

Dining and billing are already linked so this is really just for texting and spying 😃 on the kids.

Right.  So you all connect to ship's Wifi - the INTRAnet.  Then use the Find Fellow Cruisers feature to find your friends by Name.  You will all do this for each other and you will get requests on your smartphone to accept or refuse the request.  Once you accept, then you are friends and can send messages back and forth and around.  You can also create Groups in MedallionClass such that you can send messages to the group so everyone gets it, or you can still send to one person.

 

If you have INTERnet package, you can also use WHATSAPP or other messaging services over the web and bypass the Princess one which doesn't require Internet service - just the free ship Intranet.

 

Note that one can turn off the location  feature, so a smart-kid can make your smart-phone not find them.  😉
