Celebrity Edge Questions

We are booked for our first cruise on the Edge and first in a suite, a Sky Suite and have some questions;

1) I have read that there is a separate suite embarkation area and lounge for suite guests, is it well marked and easy to find? Also, is there a separate area to drop off bags when we arrive?

2) We want to try Le Grand Bistro for lunch. Do they take reservations or just walk ups?

3) Also, we want to try Rooftop Garden Grill. I have heard it can be windy. We are on the 7 night Western Caribbean April 12, any suggestions on what night might be the most favourable?

4) Sky suite shower, have read that they had shower curtains and some now have glass doors? With the leaking issues with the curtain, have they now switched over to doors?

5) Relaxation area in Spa on equinox could be accessed for free.(floor below main spa front desk). Can the Relaxation Room in the spa be accessed with out paying to enter the spa as well.

Looking forward to this new experience, thanks to all for your help.

When you first enter the terminal there will be a sign for suites and they will quickly process your and sneak you in the front of the security line.  After that you will be directed to the lounge if prior to boarding or directly aboard.

You just walk up.   I have never seen it full.

They recently installed glass baffling shields and has really improved the conditions.

They have indeed switched to glass partition doors.

Free for Aqua Class but require a fee if in other classes.

My friend and I stayed in a SV so I am not able to answer any questions regarding the suites (maybe someday!!!).

We did book the Rooftop Garden Grill, which was most likely the best dinner we had all week.  The weather, however, is unpredictable...it was beautiful and sunny on the day we went; but as we approached the restaurant for dinner about 7:30pm, the skies opened up for a ten-minute downpour.  The guests that were already seated made a mad dash for the small covered space.  We asked and were allowed to return 30 minutes later.  By the time we got back, the tables and chairs were dry and we were able to enjoy our meal.  Like Jim mentioned, the shields were inserted to help with wind, but nothing can be done about the rain.

Enjoy!

Since you are leaving from Port Everglades there is a separate embankment lounge for suites guests.  When you enter the terminal go to the far left corner where you will be escorted to an elevator to go up one story.  When exiting you will go through security and then be processed sitting in a comfortable waiting area.  Coffee and pastries are available.  The gangway for suites is right at the lounge.

We were in an S1 last week.  If you have any questions I’ll try to answer them.  Here are some pix:
