Can you set up your acct with your credit card or bank card once you get on the ship vs setting it up online?

Yes....I have changed CC's at check-in before to something other than the one I did on the website.  I would use a debit card as the last resort though, they will place holds during the cruise which ties up the funds in the account.

1.  Yes, you can.  Set up your account online as "cash" and then change it by presenting the card you wish to use when you arrive at the embarkation port.

2.  Please don't use a debit (bank) card unless you have a large cash reserve.  Carnival will place holds on your account which will effectively tie up twice what you spend for some time after you return.  I would recommend that if you want to use a debit card, that you bring the appropriate amount of cash or Carnival gift cards with you instead.
