Live from the Carnival Sunshine!!!

We boarded on Saturday,  we are now in Nassau and it’s a beautiful sunny day,  the embarkation process was awesome, we had priority check in that came with this Casino Getaway Cruise offer. Free drinks for both of us while playing in the casino, I know a lot of people have said you need to be actively playing to get drinks,  but not true on the Sunshine, as my BFF order drinks for in while sitting at a machine with out card being in and me away in the bathroom. Drinks came without me there, and she sign for both, no problem.

I also got a couple of gifts from the players club we we get to the cabin, which was ready upon us getting on the ship before 11am, the quickest a cabin has ever been ready in all my cruises. We got this on the first day.....

Yesterday upon boarding we toured the ship, my BFF had not been on since it was the Destiny and she is very impressed. Here are a few picks of the ship and food we have enjoyed so far. Oh, and I must say the internet has been awesome on this ship, I have the value plan and well worth the money.

Pork roll, very good

Shrimp &Grits, just so so.

Flat Iron Steak, awesome

The first night the Casino was pack and very smokey, it felt like half of the passengers were pack in there, getting that 1st free drink was slow, but it got better as the night went on and it cleared out a bit. But still an awesome night of fun!!!

Yesterday’s breakfast was really good, it was Sea-day Brunch, I ordered the 12 hour French toast because there have been some good and bad reviews about it not being good and being raw inside. Well lucky for us was it not only good it was cooked all the way, I will be ordering it again on Wed😁

Hey guys, I’m not the best reviewer, but I love to post pictures, so be please forgive me for being all over the place with this review as I started two days late and I’m playing catch up. LOL!!!  We are leaving Nassau right now, so I’ll be back later, want to take pics of sail away.

Thanks for your ongoing review. I will be on the Sunshine on the 2/22 so I am reading your review with great anticipation. This is my 2nd cruise on Carnival with my 1st being on the Fantasy last year. I have been on 10 other cruises on other lines but decided to try Carnival and so far so good.

Really?!  That’s nice because it was lousy in November and I got a refund for a few days.

Wow, the Sports Bar bartender looks like he's actually working, lol. Every time we went in there, he was too busy watching crew mates play video games to serve cruisers🤣

Love this!!  Thanks so much for taking the time to share.  I love it, especially the food pictures, it helps to see what dishes look like before I order.  There have been so many times we've cruised that I've ordered something I thought would be good, then it comes out and doesn't look like what I expected.  And other times I wouldn't consider a dish and someone at my table orders it and it looks sooooo good.  We will be on the Sunshine in April and this thread makes me so excited!!

Lunch yesterday was Guy’s Burger, normally I look forward to this,  but my burger tasted like they put a box of salt in it. I’ll try again later. They also changed up the cakes, the first day I had the Elderflower cake and it was awesome, yesterday I had the green tea checkerboard cake and turtle cake, all ai can say is don’t pass up the Green Tea Checkerboard cake, omg!!!

After dinner last night we enjoyed the band at Ocean Plaza, they were a jazz and funk band, they were really good and then we hit the night club. I’m getting too old for that, but still had a good time😁

Well, today I just hung out on the Serenity and enjoyed a easy going day, did not go ashore, been to Bahamas too many times already.

Nice pictures.  We just booked the Sunshine.  This will be our first time on this ship.  We are looking forward to it!
