Topdog52 Posted February 15, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2020 Does it take a long time to get off the ship and then get tendered into Bar Harbor. Not sure how long all that will take and I do not want to miss my excursion. TIA
olemissreb Posted February 18, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2020 I think it all depends on how rough the seas are and whether you have to go through customs before tendering. My mom and I had to do that last Oct. It wasn't a big deal to go through customs and we had booked our first excursion for 10:30am. Tendering to Bar Harbor took maybe 15 minutes and we got there with so much extra time to spare that we had a really great breakfast across the street from the tender dock. Coming back on the other hand took about 30-45 minutes because the seas had gotten so much rougher. Some of the waves were crashing over the top of the tender! If you tend to get seasick, make sure you take your Bonine or Dramamine just in case. I'm sure glad I had it in my system or I might have gotten sick. mets123 Posted February 20, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2020 If you're booked thru the cruise line, you'll have priority tendering.
