Last year we went under the bridge about 5:15 am.

That is my recollection too. It is early -and dark -and cold!

It looked like this....by the time we were approaching South Manhattan.

You'll have to make yourself get outa bed, dress, and go up on deck!

Go Up tp the Bow to the hidden decks.

We had an Aft wrap and waited for the bridge , then we went up to the bow.

Oh WOW! Thanx for all the pics + replies, EXACTLY what I was lookin for and needed to know. We've done a gang of cruises, but never outta NYC so this should be fun!

We did an 8 Day this past Sept from NYC on the Sunrise. Loved it so much we booked a 9 Day Next Sept from NYC on the Magic.

We loved the Sunrise by the way.

Same here!

We did Glory ex-NYC in Oct. of 2011

and liked it so much we did it again (on Glory, again) Sept. of 2013!

And would do it again, too.

Our ports of call were:

Boston, Portland ME, St. John New Brunswick -and Halifax NS

with photos in that order

New York is my home port been sailing out of here for over 10 years. The views  of sailing under the bridge and up/down the river never gets old. Like most ports, there is a small risk of fog and rain. When i went on the Sunrise in June 2019, it was soo foggy that it was impossible to see the Manhattan skyline and sailing under the bridge. Expect the worse of the weather, but most likely it will be beautiful and amazing
