CRocks Posted February 17, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2020 When does Carnival normally reach the pier in Manhattan and how long from Verrazano Bridge to pier? Booked on Sunrise 5/25 and would like to be on deck returning to NYC. Should be some awesome sites!
Stick93 Posted February 17, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2020 My son likes to do this as well. They usually get to bridge between 5:30/6am.

It is early -and dark -and cold! It looked like this....by the time we were approaching South Manhattan. You'll have to make yourself get outa bed, dress, and go up on deck! thesmiths Posted February 17, 2020 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2020 (edited) This should get you excited. This was leaving Coming back to Port 9/12 Go Up tp the Bow to the hidden decks. We had an Aft wrap and waited for the bridge , then we went up to the bow. Edited February 17, 2020 by thesmiths

We did Glory ex-NYC in Oct. of 2011 and liked it so much we did it again (on Glory, again) Sept. of 2013! And would do it again, too. Our ports of call were: Boston, Portland ME, St. John New Brunswick -and Halifax NS with photos in that order
Rare shof515 Posted February 17, 2020 #11 Share Posted February 17, 2020 (edited) New York is my home port been sailing out of here for over 10 years. The views of sailing under the bridge and up/down the river never gets old. Like most ports, there is a small risk of fog and rain. When i went on the Sunrise in June 2019, it was soo foggy that it was impossible to see the Manhattan skyline and sailing under the bridge. Expect the worse of the weather, but most likely it will be beautiful and amazing Edited February 17, 2020 by shof515
