carnival cruise insurance price?

I booked a cruise and did not get the $49 carnival insurance. When I tried to get it a few weeks later it was $65. Anyone know why the increase?

Perhaps it's closer to the sail date? Or maybe the coronovirus has cause the cruise insurance companies to raise their rates across the board? Other than that, I have no idea.

I am not sure, but there is probably something in there about buying it within so many days.  There are other companies you can buy trip insurance through, some less expensive with more coverage than CCLs.

The cost of the carnival vacation protection is based on your cruise fare. If it is higher then the rate is higher.

Just a suggestion. My charge card has travel insurance include and it is excellent. However. If you only cruise once in a year it may not be worth it. The card has a $95 yearly fee but the perks are well worth it. Check you charge card benefits before buying insurance.
