If I am platinum  and share cabin with person who is not, can that person board when I board?

Yes and No from my experience. I have been to D&P parties where they basically let everyone in to parties where they checked everyone’s S&S card at the lounge/theater entrance and only allowed in D&Ps.

I've experienced this as well on past cruises. 

 

However, this past month, our invitation to the D&P party specifically said "and a guest".  To my knowledge, this was the first time that verbiage had been included on the invite.

All nice to know as DW and i are platinum and our up coming cruise my older son and daughter are sailing with us. Yes we are all under the same booking number. Looks like they wont have to wait to board and can board with us.

Only the people in your cabin could board early, unless son and daughter are under 18.

We haven't seen them check invitations for the past guest party in the last several cruises. Last month we left the invitations in our cabin and walked right in.

It isn't booking number, it is specifically in your stateroom or under 18.  Their boarding pass will clearly state "Priority" if they can board with you.
