sdp123078 Posted March 10, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2020 We booked our cruise last November which is leaving at the end of May. Three different cabins, so three different booking numbers. I saw the rate was lower and submitted the Early Saver forms, which were approved yesterday. We are not yet paid in full, so they credited the amount due. I just received an email saying we needed to pay our deposit within two days or they are canceling the reservation. We paid the deposit in November, which was $50 pp (400 total). They now are saying we owe an additional 500 for the deposit. I of course can’t get through to Carnival because they’re phones are down. Does anybody know what this is about? dallasdan Posted March 10, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2020 When you submitted the early saver form, you are now locked into the new terms of the lower price. So, if you have only paid $400 total, you will need to pay the full deposit amount. I always wait till have the full deposits paid before I submit early saver forms for that reason. Rare shof515 Posted March 10, 2020 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2020 New rate is not eligible for the reduced deposits. when you price match, you have to pay the standard deposit amounts
