We disputed a charge of over $5,000 with a major cruise line years ago and our credit card company got it all back for us.  We are still using that credit card to this day and have paid for many more cruises with it since then.

We cancelled our excursions first  online .Click click.,,  the credit came onto our card in a few days. 

 

Then we cancelled the cruise, thus avoiding the tel rep  having to cancel them or needing the accounting dept to verify each one again. Refund of cruise  fare is at a  snail's pace

 

If X cancels a cruise  guess it may ALL go the long route????

I did something similiar.  I cancelled my shore excursions.  I then upgraded my cabin through my TA.  I haven't seen the credits yet.  That was several months back.  This is for a cruise almost 2 years out.

 

Right now I am in the looking for refunds mode.  Not much has been automatically refunded.
