cruising teacher80 Posted April 17, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2020 So if we decide to take the FCC and the new cruise is not as expensive can some of the money be used towards a drink package or speciality dining or can to only be used for the cost of the cruise? wrk2cruise Posted April 17, 2020 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2020 Only cruise fare. Not taxes/fees or cruise planner items. You can use it to add perks as those are added to the cruise fare. You just can't buy them separately with the FCC.
Widzy Posted September 2, 2020 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2020 I have FCC specifically for my cancelled drinks packages. As the £ has fallen against the $ I have a deficit to re-purchase for my rebooked cruise. I am trying to find out if they have a termination date so I can wait for the £ value to pick up. In my experience, once Celebrity establishes an exchange rate, it makes no allowance for future fluctuations. Sometimes that has worked to our advantage, sometimes not. As for FCC termination date, is that not indicated on the FFC or covering correspondence?
Widzy Posted September 2, 2020 #5 Share Posted September 2, 2020 Nothing on the email and everything on the Web is for Cruise FCC. I had to appeal to get the FCC for the packages as I missed the date to opt in to get them. Unlike the Cruise FCC I only had 2 weeks after the cruise was cancelled to claim them. I had re-booked for a new cruise and wrongly assumed that all the FCC would be given automatically. I am booking for 13 so the extra 25% keeps the total deficit down to approx £1000. ejnsb Posted September 2, 2020 #6 Share Posted September 2, 2020 My FCC was for a beverage package I purchased. It was a 6 day drinks and more package. With the 125% bump and the packages on my new 7 day cruise at 20% off, I was able to buy two premium packages and still have $470 OBC. A quick phone call was all it took. Widzy Posted September 3, 2020 #7 Share Posted September 3, 2020 My 125%FCC for 2 drinks packages was £802 the new cost is £829. Original cost was £742 so FCC does not cover my losses.

All the travel & hospitality industry is sucking wind, so I would be happy to only have to pay an extra £27. We have had to pay $300 to move flights, have lose €.200 on tours that won’t refund The cost. But overall we have recouped about 90-95% and the losses are on small independent tour operators Where we volunteered to forego our minimal deposit. bigbenboys Posted September 3, 2020 #10 Share Posted September 3, 2020 The next cruise we are going to take is in June 2021. After we pay our cruise off we will have about $3000.00 extra in FCC. Seems like we wont be able to spend the FCC money onboard. We might have to book a TP on Solstice for April 2022. Does the cruise have to start or finish by 4 May 2022? Japan Disney here we come! That will only leave Paris Disney. Working on that bucket list.
