Rare pierces Posted May 26, 2020 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2020 Pictures taken between Monday, May 25 and Sunday, May 31. The world is opening up again. Shoot some pictures of it! Stay well. Rules: See above That's it. This isn't a contest. All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising). Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize. The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays. Post one. Post many. Up to you. Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others! Docker123 Posted May 30, 2020 #3 Share Posted May 30, 2020 A beautiful Saturday morning, last weekend of autumn. Lockdown easing, so i headed off about 45 minutes to the Organ Pipes National Park just outside Melbourne. Walking around with my normal 75-300 on the camera. I was really looking for platypus and echindas, plus whatever critters may crawl or fly around. Not much to see. Took some photos of the organ pipes (volcanic rock formations), with too long a lens. At the car I noticed some wedge tailed eagles flying fairly high up. As a well prepared little photoer, i had a big lens in the boot.

Rare pierces Posted June 2, 2020 Author #8 Share Posted June 2, 2020 Well we almost made it through the dark to the light. Didn't see that rope stretched across the path. Going from quarantine to curfew wasn't my plan for the weekend when restaurants and other "non-essential" places were supposed to open. Instead I spent the weekend putting in some sweaty hours working on our enclosed patio area renovation and designing a playhouse for our youngest granddaughter’s birthday. All this will eventually pass as do all dark times and I will be happy to see things get better. Until then, I will continue to hope that humanity doesn’t find a new way to destroy itself and the world we live in. A small glass of good pecan-smoked whiskey and turning off the TV helps with the hope. Tough Week Dave

This could be a type of dianthus. Lots of different types.
Docker123 Posted June 4, 2020 #10 Share Posted June 4, 2020 Last Friday I found the kite eating tree. Unfortunately, no sign of Charlie Brown. 1

zackiedawg Posted June 8, 2020 #12 Share Posted June 8, 2020 May 30th was the last set of photos I took...my back yard has become very very boring - I've photographed everything there is to see back there. All my wetlands parks are still closed. Bars are still closed. Restaurants mostly are pick-up only - the few that are open are seating 12 people so far apart they need phones to say hello...and most still want people walking around everywhere with masks, regardless of 'social distance'. Ugh...I hate this time of our lives! A yellow flower: A muscovy duck by the pond: The half moon rising over the backyard in the afternoon: A wet blue jay, fresh from a bath, on my lamppost: Squirrels about to get naughty on my fence:
