Notice that the airlines were not given a “no fly” order and the hotels were not given a close order. We and the cruise lines are at the mercy of the CDC and the U.S. State Department. Most of the U.S. infections are from Europe so they arrived here by air, not sea. They met with the CDC yesterday supposedly. Would be nice to get an update of the results of that discussion! grandgeezer Posted June 12, 2020 #27 Share Posted June 12, 2020 They are silent because they have no idea what to do. Like in the past, they will wait till some of the other lines make announcements, then piggy back on their plans.

Checking State Dept side might not give a clear picture. You can access all of the European information via the US State Dept. site. More information for Europe than I had time to read. Check and see. US State Dept. site is where I found out Amsterdam was closed to most tourists. You could fly into AMS but could not leave the airport. ALL information is on State Dept.site.
