Mariner Chartered October 22-29, 2021

Is that usually a full ship charter?  Those dates are still available for the Mariner 3/4 night trips

Asking for a  friend

Yes. Tell your friend they are now and have been full ship charters since they switched to Brilliance 3 years ago. They used to book Freedom but it wasn’t a full ship charter. We quit booking once they decided to use Brilliance 3 years in a row with exact itinerary. We might give Mariner a try now.

It doesn’t surprise me at all that Royal is still sailing cabin space. The Brilliance was pretty much sold out. Mariner adds more capacity.

So the winter charters seem to be cancelling.

I am currently  booked on mariner October 25 and October 29, 2021.  I did a lift and switch from nearly the same dates  in 2020.

What now?

M

Wait for Royal to cancel it and you should get some OBC if Royal will still do that.  From what I understand the charter company pays that OBC not Royal

That’s why I posted it here so people will know. It’s been advertised on the HSR site they were attempting to move the Charter for a few weeks now. The new dates were published but not the ship. Today they posted the ship change.

Thanks for posting the information so I can make plans.

I live far from port (An 8 Hour  drive or an air flight) ) and can’t do just the three night cruise on the 29th. The four night cruise on the 25th that will  be canceled isn’t available on the following Monday as that is now a five night cruise.   Maybe they will give me that 5 night cruise in exchange for the Cancelled 4 night. We want  a back to back cruise from PC.

From the Rally website I see that booking for the charter cruise is not available until July 13. It will be interesting to see if I hear from Royal Caribbean before that date

and as noted, one can still book the October 22 and  25 mariner cruise

We were not booked on this years cruise. Same itinerary three years in a roll turned us off. Mariner has more capacity. The only way to book is likely on the HSR site. I think you found it but just in case, try here.

A word of caution. This cruise can get a bit rowdy and 90% will have the Drink Package. C&A perks are not applicable on this cruise. DL/CL may or may not be available. Points have been awarded in the past.

Thanks - I  am not interested in the charter.  Our Oct 29 is not part of the charter dates. Hopefully I can change to Nov 1 for our B2B .

Good luck. I know charters can sure put a dent in plans, especially a b2b2b.........

We were booked on the original Mariner (10/25) and just received the cancellation notice due to the charter. Frustrating thing is this was the back end of a B2B so now we're stuck with a 3 day (Fri-Mon) cruise and live 9 hours from the port ... 🤬

We lost the front end of our back to back   and are stuck with the weekend cruise. We also live far from Port,  8  hours, and can’t do just a three night

I’m very disappointed that Royale Caribbean will not price protect the adjoining back to back and let me keep all of my benefits.  I had a $300 casino voucher that I used for the Cruise that is not canceled. They will help me a bit with the price protection of the cruise, but they will no longer allow me to apply the  casino voucher.   So if I want to move the cancelled cruise, and then add on my booked back to back so that the dates match, I either need to spend $300 more to do that or, I can cancel and lose my nonrefundable deposit of $200

I feel like I’m getting the royal treatment - royally screwed!

Are they offering OBC like they usually do with a charter?  Or is that one over as well?

Yikes. Lots of Charters after Thanksgiving to the week before Christmas and then the couple weeks after New Years. I think fares are also less expensive during the time.  Sorry to all

$100 ( we had a prom interior  cabin)  for the cancelled one, nothing for the  attached B2B  that is  $300 more for me to sail.

The cruise just following our weekend is not offered.

Just went through the redemption page to book a different cruise - not listed as an option on the price protection. Once you've added all the details of the cancelled cruise and selected the desired cruise the website was rather abrupt and not very informative ... hope to get an email or something for follow up

Thank you for submitting the Mariner of the Seas Option Request Form!

Please be sure to save this page before closing your browser as this serves as a confirmation of your submission. We'll review your selected option and action it based on your request.

Please note, if you previously opted for Cruise with Confidence, no action will be taken.

And, if we don't hear from you by July 29th, or if you submitted inaccurate information, your reservation will be cancelled.

Thank you!

Yikes that is awful ... we are looking to book an alternate one for a different  month. Will cancel one of the B2B for a refund and use the other for the "new" cruise.

Challenge right now is the full summer 21 schedule is not out yet and we have until 7/29 to rebook or lose the $100 OBC. The one we have picked out will end up saving us a few hundred ... sorry your ending is not pleasant ... 😞

Surprised that the OBC is the same for Interior, Window and Balcony.

We changed the 4 night  ( using the on-line feature) and will have to  decide what to do with the 3 night that is not included in the  formal cancellation.  I'll crunch the  numbers to look at the  best option.

When you changed using the online feature did you choose a cruise other than one in Option 1 and if so did you get anything other than the popup letter that I posted earlier? I just entered the sailing details (Ship & Date) for the cruise we wanted and then the letter popped up ... no confirmation email or anything.
