Viking just cancelled all river and ocean cruises through December 31, 2020.  What has Silversea done?  We are currently booked for February 2021 on Silver Shadow.

So far it’s been about 6-8 weeks out, with one or two exceptions due to late build time or postponed refits.

Mrs Banjo and I are booked for departure in Jan 3? 2021 out of Ft Lauderdale to Aukland NZ.  We are quite concerned that this will be canceled sometime AFTER final payment is due, (September 7)...... Then they are holding all the $$.   I have inquired with our PPC a number of times, and gotten only the standard scripted answers.

We're 8 weeks out from our cruise and still waiting for it to be cancelled. We know it will be,  because it goes to Australia and they're not allowing anyone in until 2021 at the earliest. But no word from Silversea yet. We haven't booked anything around it as we're so sure it won't happen. But it would be nice to have our money back!

I seriously doubt that any cruise will go this year - 2021 at the earliest and that is somewhat questionable.

I tend to agree. But… the first large cruise sailed today in Italy. If MSC can be successful -- as in, no COVID outbreaks aboard -- in their first few cruises this summer, it might encourage other lines to give it a try later this year.

We will have to wait and see, however if Hurtigruten and the Paul Gauguin are anything to go by, it will all end in tears.
