Rare jimbo5544 Posted August 20, 2020 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2020 Interesting, I wonder how many will say yes, will they have anywhere to go once the CDC waives the magic wand? https://www.seatrade-cruise.com/ports-destinations/bvi-nears-phase-2-reopening-cruises-still-not-allowed

blue_water Posted August 20, 2020 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2020 (edited) This is the plan so far. And all returning land owners, residents, and students must accept a 14-day secured quarantine at their cost (not a self-q). Friends who own land (non-belongers) and others who live there are still waiting for clarity on the final requirements. Some may be able to quarantine in their own home by paying approved security teams to monitor them... We want to return o our favorite Caribbean destination and see our friends there, but appreciate that the BVI is doing things right in enforcing strict measures to protect the people there. Yes it is an economic hardship on many, but lives are being saved. STT just returned to a Stay-At-Home status after opening to visitors for a short time and that is even more destructive to the people and economy.. Hopefully better testing and people practicing better social distancing in the US and elsewhere will help us get back there sooner than later!
