OnTheJourney Posted September 3, 2020 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2020 I'm reading that the seas can get a bit rough in the winter months. Comparing these two: PV1 6073 and PV2 5035 - any preferences? We were in 5052 on the Sky last March and found that the midship location worked quite well (until things got really crazy anyway). I'd like to go with a PV category this time. Thanks for any suggestions. I'm thinking 5035 is the better bet for choppy seas.
Squawkman Posted September 3, 2020 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2020 I stayed in 6073 on the Sky for a Southern Med cruise (no longer running) in December, 2018. Loved it!
Heidi13 Posted September 4, 2020 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2020 Unfortunately, it is impossible to predict the seas. One year I sailed the Meddy from January to April and experienced a significant storm in the Ionian Sea between Greece & Italy. The next year, I spent the same months on a Haifa to UK shuttle and had smooth sailing the entire time. With respect to both cabins, based on the plans they both appear to be approximately the same distance from the centreline in the longitudinal. However, Deck 6 is higher so that cabin would experience more movement than the cabin on Dk 5.
OnTheJourney Posted September 4, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted September 4, 2020 Thanks Andy. I decided on deck 5.

Loved it! How ironic...same room I was asking about!
