Carnival gives Port Canaveral the green light

You could soon hop on a cruise ship in just a few weeks. Port Canaveral and the Port of Miami have been approved for cruising and Carnival has already indicated they hope to resume service in Brevard County soon.

I’m a bit confused by the wording of this headline. Who gave Miami and Port Canaveral the green light to resume sailings? Do they mean by this headline that Carnival has announced that when they resume cruising, it will be from these two ports, which is what we’ve known for a while now?

Old news is old.

 

The story is 5 days old, from just after when Carnival Cruise Line announced the cancellation of all sailings through Dec 31 except for Port Canaveral and Miami.  So the news station interpreted it the other way: Carnival has given the green light for sailings out of Port Canaveral (and Miami) in just a few weeks!

 

There is nothing new here.
