Pent-Up demand

Wow- I can sure tell there is pent -up demand . Or maybe there are just fewer cruises to chose from. We have booked 3 past Christmas market river cruises around Thanksgiving, usually this early in the year. This early there is a lot of availability in terms of stateroom choice/pricepoint. But yesterday when I looked and was going to book, I was surprised to find out there was only ONE stateroom left on the ship  we wanted! There is another couple coming along so that won't work.

Don't forget that many people that had Christmas market cruises booked for 2020 transferred them to 2021.

Is there a possibility the cruise lines aren't making all cabins available in case social distancing requirements are in place at the time the ship sails?

Our December vacation is going to be a train and hotel trip (we can cancel the hotels without penalty)! Over the years we have spent a lot of time in the Netherlands at different times of the year due my husband's work including many Dec. river cruises and other do it yourself trips.  This said we have never seen Amsterdam in Dec. now adding in Brussels, Bruges and Ghent! I will be able to see Bruges at night!!! I hope the vaccine is in effect by December. We lost two very nice vacations last year plus a trip to Bonaire.
